White spots or eczema spots can appear on the body either as a result of stress or the wrong use of skincare products. It usually occurs if the skincare products you are using contain Steriods/ Hydroquinone or your skin is reacting to an ingredient. Steriods or Hydroquinone are treatment ingredients which are not meant for long term use but due to it's lightening effects, it has become a staple in some lightening skincare products. The adverse results are the occurrence of white or red spots on the body. I would be sharing the recipe that helped to clear the spots from my mum/s skin when she used Gold Skin Lightening Lotion.
Ingredients
Emulsifying wax-100grams
Shea Butter-50 grams
Fresh Carrots- 4 pieces
Distilled water-500ml
Mustard Seed Oil-10 drops
Cinnamon Oil-5 drops
Fragrance-Optional
Preservative-Optional
Directions
- Use double boiler method, melt your Shea Butter and Ewax.
- In another pot, boil the carrots in distilled water. Boil for about 10 minutes and drain. Set the water aside. We would be using this water to mix the cream.
- Once the Shea Butter and Ewax has melted, add the carrot water slowly and stir with a spatula.
- Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, then stir with a hand blender.
- Add the cinnamon oil and Mustard seed oil and stir for a minute. You can add any fragrance of your choice.
I did not add a preservative to this lotion and it stayed for 4-6 weeks without any sign of spoilage. This totally cleared out the eczema spots and mu mom's skin returned to normal.
Cinnamon oil helps to rejuvenate the skin and helps treat eczema. Its anti-fungal, anti bacterial and anti oxidant properties helps to treat the skin of blemishes
Mustard seed oil is very effective in clearing Eczema and white spots. It can even be used on its own and would still work its magic.
Shea Butter is one of my staple household ingredients. I use it for most healing formulations, as it has a dose of healing ingredients. It is also a well known ingredient for treating eczema and white spots.
